Hello! My name is Swapneel Batra, and I have been a working mom for decade and a half, who always knew in her heart that I am not made for the profession that I am in.

Someone who loves laughing out loud with family & friends, a social butterfly, and my love for desserts. Yes, that’s right! I always knew that I liked good food and was always curious about the recipes but desserts have been an exploration in last few years in the States. I realized that I have that sweet tooth and my creative juices flow out of control in the journey to explore new desserts – and to my surprise they are loved by everyone without exceptions! I bake for love!

Like several others who pursued their talents during the pandemic (in 2019-2020) and listened to their instincts to change the direction of their lives, I took up Baking – more seriously. Not only did I get a lot of time to spend with my family, I loved the opportunity I got to start baking more frequently with my teen daughter at the time. Doing it for a few months regularly just for fun, maintaining records of recipes, binge watching various baking shows, and trying my desserts on friends, I started realizing I was turning into a pro. My daughter was my biggest critique as well as the motivator, and easily the key reason why you are reading this.  

I got more disciplined in my approach and started to volunteer to bring in cupcakes, cakes, and cookies for birthdays, anniversaries, casual dinner get togethers, social causes, and anything else where a dessert fits! Encouraging friends & family started to becomes customers and connected me with more friends and the chain continued. Before I knew, I started to get challenges from my customers for custom graduation cakes, sports themes, television show themes, bachelor parties, hobbies and you name it. To top it up challenges also included all sort of flavors, eggless, vegan, less frosting/more frosting, more sweet/less sweet, made of indian desserts (like rasmalai cake), multi-level/unusually small and you name it. I made it through and am open for more challenges – bring it on!
